📖
Explanation
Comparatives compare two things. Superlatives compare three or more things, showing the highest degree.
Regular rules: Short adjectives (1 syllable) add -er/-est: tall/taller/tallest, fast/faster/fastest.
Two-syllable adjectives ending in -y: happy/happier/happiest, easy/easier/easiest.
Longer adjectives use more/most: beautiful/more beautiful/most beautiful.
Irregular: good/better/best, bad/worse/worst, far/farther or further/farthest or furthest, little/less/least, many/more/most.
Comparison structures: than (comparative + than), the + superlative, as...as (equal comparison), not as...as (unequal).
Examples: She is taller than her brother. This is the best cake ever. He is not as tall as his father. The weather is getting worse.
